A group of talented individuals with varied backgrounds in music,
dance, theater and early childhood, all instructors are Registered
Music Together® teachers, having completed training given by the Center
for Music and Young Children.
Kelleigh McKenzie (Director)
has a background in the arts with a B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon
University in Pittsburgh. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist,
Kelleigh was both surprised and delighted to discover her passion
for sharing music with young children and their families. She taught
the program in NYC’s east village before bringing it to the Hudson
Valley area.
Leslie Abdallah
is an actress, singer and dancer who graduated from New York University in Music and Dance. Favorite roles include Ariel in the National Tour of The Little Mermaid and a dancer for Liza Minnelli and Gregory Hines. Leslie currently sings with a contemporary choir and she enjoys writing children’s and gospel songs. Her young daughter Abey is an inspiration to her music.
Susan Lee Clark
started training in singing and dance at age five and began a longtime love affair with the guitar when she began studying it at age twelve. She furthered her education by minoring in dance while attending The University of South Florida. The Music Together program rekindled her passion for music and dance when she enrolled with her first child, Emily Rose, after several years of running the rat race.
Callie Hershey
has been singing and playing the piano since early childhood. She performed locally and at regional folk festivals with a women's a cappella group, and as a backing vocalist. She is delighted to share the conviction that music is something everyone can do! An elementary school teacher for ten years, Callie is excited to combine her passions for music and teaching children in the Music Together classroom.
Elizabeth Clifton
has enjoyed making music in a variety of choral ensembles since the 6th grade, and began her study of voice at age 15. Although trained as a clinical social worker, singing has always been her avocation. Currently, she performs with Poughkeepsie-based Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir. She discovered the joys of Music Together when she began taking classes with her young son, Sam.
